When through a sale, a painted final image disappears for ever out of Schoot's life, she uses a final conceptual strategy; she replaces it in her 'calendar' with a small canvas from 20 x 20 x 4,5 cm with six-digits - the date and also a number - referring to the title (=date) of the sold Self-Portrait:
